Montana small claims courts by county
Each county has a Justice Court with a small claims division; in a few large counties two justices of the peace share one court, and a couple of rural counties hold court in more than one town. File in person at the justice court of the county where the defendant lives or can be served. City and municipal courts do not take small claims.
