Maine small claims courts by county

Small claims are a session of the Maine District Court, which sits in 27 town locations grouped into 8 regions, not one per county. Some counties have several locations (Aroostook 4, Penobscot 3) and some towns go to a court in a neighboring county (Freeport goes to West Bath, Livermore Falls to Lewiston). File in the District Court where the events happened, where the defendant lives or has its main place of business, or where a company's registered agent is. The Judicial Branch's town list shows which court serves each town.
